Eritrea’s highest mountain is called Embasoira and is 3013m above sea level. On the other end, the lowest inland depression is found on the Denakel Depression, which is 30m below sea level and covered by salt stones. Hot water springs of Mai-Wuuy, which is part of the Great East African Rift valley, is an impressive tourist destination.
The Eastern Escarpments are chain of mountains located in the central part of Eritrea. It enjoys two rainy seasons thus making it evergreen and densely forested region. It is wealthy with its animal and plant species. The newly built road that passes through it makes it convenient for visitors to have a thrilling look.

Lions, Leopards, Ostriches, Monkeys, Elephants, Gazelles, Wild donkies, Birds and others are some of the wild animals that the county is enriched with.
